Chicago Tops Orkin’s Rattiest Cities List for Eighth Consecutive Year
ATLANTA (Oct. 17, 2022) – Chicago may soon need to change its name from “The Windy City” to the “Rattiest City,” after topping Orkin’s Top 50 Rattiest Cities List, yet again. Orkin released the list today, and for the eighth consecutive year, the Midwest city takes the top spot. New York beat out Los Angeles for the #2 ranking and entering the top 20 this year is Hartford, CT, taking the#19 spot, and Miami, rising three spots to secure the #20 spot. Continue reading→
Los Angeles Buzzes as #1 City on Orkin’s 2022 Mosquito Cities List
ATLANTA (May 23, 2022) – Los Angeles is claiming the top spot again on Orkin’s Top 50 Mosquito Cities List. This is the second year in the row The City of Angels has edged out the competition. Chicago and New York trail at the number two and three spots, respectively, both of which jumped three spots from the year prior. Joining the list this year is Columbus (OH), Pittsburgh (PA), Sacramento (CA), Milwaukee (WI), Champaign (IL), Portland (OR), Greensboro (NC), Louisville (KY), Myrtle Beach (SC), Hartford (CT) and Waco (TX). New Season, New #1 City on Orkin's Top 50 Termite Cities List
ATLANTA (March 21, 2022) – There seems to be a changing of the guard, as the city of Angels has apparently become the city of… termites?
Pest control leader Orkin reveals Los Angeles is claiming the top spot for the first time on this year’s Top 50 Termites Cities list, released today. Miami, the historic frontrunner, has fallen to second place, with Washington D.C., Tampa and Chicago rounding out the top five. Both Chicago and Raleigh are newcomers to the Top 10, with Chicago making the biggest jump from #23 to #5 on this year’s list. Continue reading→
Chicago Takes Another Top Spot For Pests, This Time Ranking #1 On Orkin's Bed Bug Cities List
ATLANTA (January 10, 2022) – Chicago settled in for the second year in a row as the #1 city on Orkin’s 2022 Top 50 Bed Bug Cities List, with Philadelphia and New York moving into the second and third place spots, respectively. These two Northeast cities saw the largest jumps with Philadelphia moving up 12 spots and New York moving up nine spots. As for newcomers to the list, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, landed at #42 and Lincoln, Nebraska, barely snuck in at #50. Continue reading→
