What are these tiny reddish-orange ants?

Question: The ants I have are the same basic coloring, and are of about 1/4 of an inch in length. I think these are pharaoh ants. What would you say they are, and what am I to do about them?

Answer: Well, most likely they are pharaoh ants. Pharaoh ants are very difficult to control, and using the wrong method will make a bad problem worse, as these ants will alert and bud, creating new and multiple colonies.
