Can certain termite treatments damage my home?

Question: I have seen local treatments for termites where they drill through the exterior of the house, inject the treatment, then seal up the holes. Doesn't this breach the paper vapor barrier and open the structure up to moisture later on?

Answer: For some treatments, the foundation or basement slab is drilled and treated around the perimeter; the 7/16-inch hole does little to damage what vapor barrier may be under the slab.
