How To Get Rid of Mice

Classic snap traps are commonly used to kill mice within homes. For best results, these traps should be set flush to walls, with the trigger plates facing the wall.

Glue boards may be effective, as well. If placed properly, the mice should become caught in the glue and unable to free themselves. Ultimately, the mice die of hypothermia.

Zapper traps lure mice into enclosures before delivering a lethal electric shock. Zappers are more costly than the other two traps and require the use of batteries.

Although homeowners may consider baits, they are not recommended for use within homes by homeowners. Rodent baits can be poisonous to humans and house pets and may be unknowingly ingested by small children if not applied correctly and according to the label. Serious infestations require the professional services of pest control experts.
